Procedure
Methyl 2-methoxyimino-2-(3-methoxyphenyl)acetate (syn isomer) (1.6 g.) and a 2 N aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide (4 ml.) were treated according to a similar manner to that of Preparation 5-3) (c) to give oil of 2-methoxyimino-2-(3-methoxyphenyl)acetic acid (syn isomer) (1.23 g.).
