Reaction Steps
Following the procedure of Example 1 (d), cis-4-methoxy-L-proline is treated with a solution of 3-acetylthiopropyl chloride in the presence of sodium carbonate to yield 1-(3-acetylthio-1-oxopropyl)-cis-4-methoxy-L-proline.
