实验过程

To the solution of 3α,6α-dihydroxy-5β-cholestan-24-one (168 mg) in pyridine (5 ml) was added methanesulfonyl chloride (0.5 ml) under cooling in an ice bath and the mixture was continuously stirred for one hour. The reaction mixture was poured into ice-water and extracted with ethyl acetate. The ethyl acetate layer was washed with an aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid and then with water, dried over magnesium sulfate and evaporated to give an oily product, 3α,6α-dihydroxy-5β-cholestan-24-one dimesylate.
