Procedure

According to the same procedure described in Example 49, a solution of 2,4,6,6-tetramethyl-1-[2-methyl-crotonoyl]-1-cyclohexene (1.0 g.) in 10 ml. of dioxan was heated at 100° under nitrogen with acidic diatomaceous earth (0.2 g.).
