Reaction Steps

500 mg of product obtained in Example 5 with 5 cm3 of methylene chloride and 215 mg of meta chloroperbenzoic acid is agitated for 2 hours at ambient temperature. The mixture is poured into 50 cm3 of water, extracted 3 times with 50 cm3 of methylene chloride, the extracts are dried, filtered and brought to dryness under reduced pressure. The residue (675 mg) is chromatographed on silica (eluant: methylene chloride - acetone (6-4)). 400 mg of the desired product is obtained.
