The title compound was prepared as described in Step 1 of Example A(39), where 2-(4-bromophenyl)-2-methyl propionic acid was substituted for ethyl hydrogen malonate and methyl amine was substituted instead of (R)-(+)-1-(4-bromophenyl)ethylamine on that example. Yield 84%. 1H NMR (CDCl3) δ: 1.55 (s, 6H), 2.72 (d, J=4.6 Hz, 3H), 5.15 (brs, 1H), 7.22-7.26 (m, 2H), 7.46-7.50 (m, 2H).
