The title compound was prepared from 3-Chloro-6-ethyl-4-hydroxy-6-[2-(4-methoxy-phenyl)-ethyl]-5,6-dihydro-pyran-2-one from Step 1 and 5-Chloro-1-isopropyl-1H-benzoimidazole-2-thiol using the coupling method described in Example C(4), 1H NMR (CDCl3): δ 0.96 (t, 3H, J=7.5 Hz), 1.69 (d, 6H, J=7.0 Hz), 1.85 (m, 2H), 1.98 (m, 2H), 2.59 (m, 2H), 2.71 (s, 2H), 3.78 (s, 3H), 5.16 (m, 1H), 6.81 (d, 2H, J=8.5 Hz), 7.06 (d, 2H, J=8.5 Hz), 7.28 (d, 2H, J=8.9 Hz), 7.48 (d, 1H, J=8.9 Hz), 7.59 (s, 1H). ESIMS: MH+ 501.10, 503.10, MH− 4.99.10, 501.10.
