DBU (5.2 μL, 0.035 mmol) was added to a solution of acid 43 (7.5 mg, 0.017 mmol) in acetone (0.1 mL) at rt under nitrogen. After 10 min, 2-iodopropane (35 μL, 0.35 mmol) was added. After 21 h at rt, the reaction was quenched with 0.01 N HCl (3 mL) and extracted with EtOAc (3×4 mL). The combined extracts were washed with brine (5 mL), dried (Na2SO4), filtered and concentrated in vacuo. Purification of the residue by flash column chromatography on silica (CH2Cl2→1% MeOH CH2Cl2) afforded 4.6 mg (53%) of the title compound (44).
