Reaction Steps
To 75 ml of a methanol solution containing 2.5 g of Compound B obtained in Example 178 (1) were added 1.5 ml of conc. hydrochloric acid and 1.0 g of 10% palladium-carbon (Pd-C). The mixture was subjected to catalytic reduction at normal temperature under normal pressure for 2 hours. After removing the catalyst by filtration, the filtrate was evaporated to dryness under reduced pressure, and the residue was crystallized by adding hexane to give 1.80 g of 2-[1-L-alanyl-3-(2-cyclohexylethyl)-3-phenylureido]-4-methoxy-6-tert-butylphenol (yield: 85%, state: powder, IR: 3500 (br), 1730, 1705 cm-1).
