Reaction Steps

2.1 g(0.0075 mole) of the compound obtained in step 9 and 3.6 g(0.009 mole) of 2'-[1-(1-ethoxyethyl)-1H-tetrazol-5-yl]-biphenyl-4-ylmethyl bromide were dissolved in 20 ml of dimethyl formamide and to the resulting solution was added 2.1 g(0.015 mole) of K2CO3. The resultant was stirred for 5 hours at room temperature and diluted with 100 ml of ethyl acetate, and washed with water(50 ml×3). The organic layer was dried over Na2SO4, concentrated under reduced pressure and purified with column chromatography(5% MeOH/CH2Cl2) to obtain 2.85 g of the title compound(yield 65%).
