Reaction Steps
0.1 g(0.000169 mole) of the compound obtained in step 11 and 0.36 g(0.00338 mole) of trimethylformate were dissolved in 5 ml of methanol and to the resulting solution was added 0.5 ml of 3% anhydrous HCl/MeOH. The resultant was refluxed for 2 hours and cooled. 5 ml of saturated NaHCO3 solution was added to the reaction solution. The resulting solution was evaporated under reduced pressure to remove methanol and thereafter extracted with ethyl acetate(5 ml×4). The organic layer was dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was recrystallized from hexane-methylene chloride to obtain 75 mg of the title compound in a white solid form(yield 79.4%).
