Reaction Steps
2,6-Difluorophenol (8.6 g, 66 mmol) was treated with tert-butylchlorodimethylsilane (17.4 g, 0.12 mol) and imidazole (13.1 g, 0.19 mol) by the method in Example 1 to give 13.41 g (83%) of tert-butyldimethylsilyl 2,6-difluorophenyl ether.
