Reaction of 2-biphenylyl isothiocyanate (9.1 g) in ethanol (25 ml) with 25% aqueous ammonia solution (50 ml) at ambient temperature for 18 hours gave N-(2-biphenylyl)thiourea (m.p. 187°-188° C.).
