Reaction Steps

Compound 3 was synthesized from the reaction of 3-4 (70 mg, 0.19 mmol) with DMAP (46 mg, 0.38 mmol) and isonicotinoyl chloride hydrochloride (44 mg, 0.25 mmol). The reaction provided compound 3 (42 mg, 89.9 mmol) in 47% yield: 1H NMR (500 MHz, CDCl3) δ 8.82 (d, J=6.0 Hz, 2 H), 7.70 (d, J=6.0 Hz, 2 H), 7.46 (d, J=8.8 Hz, 2 H), 6.96 (d, J=8.8 Hz, 2 H), 6.92 (s, 1 H), 6.86 (s, 1 H), 6.82 (s, 1 H), 3.86 (s, 3 H), 2.01 (s, 3 H); ESI-MS: m/z 466.1 (M−H)−.
