Prepared as in Example 2a from 2-amino-6-(cycloheptyloxy)benzonitrile (Example 32b) and ethyl 3-oxobutanoate as a bright yellow solid (72%). 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ 1.32 (t, J=8.0 Hz, 3H), 1.49-1.65 (m, 8H), 1.78-1.87 (m, 2H), 2.04-2.10 (m, 2H), 2.53 (s, 3H), 4.31 (q, J=8.0 Hz, 2H), 4.79 (m, 1H), 6.89 (d, J=8.0 Hz, 1H), 7.20 (d, J=8.0 Hz, 1H), 7.49 (t, J=8.0 Hz, 1H), 8.14 (brs, 2H). MS 343 (MH+).
