A mixture of tert-butyl 4-[2-(4-fluorophenyl)-4-(pyridin-2-yl)-1,3-oxazol-5-yl]-3,6-dihydropyridine-1(2H)-carboxylate (0.2 g, 0.475 mmol) and Pd/C (0.10 g, 10%, 0.095 mmol) in AcOH (20 ml) was hydrogenated on a shaker at 45 psi hydrogen for 2 days. Then the catalyst was filtered off, and the filtrate was concentrated. The resulting residue was purified by reverse phase HPLC to give the title compound. LC-MS m/e 424.25 [M+1]+.
