tert-Butyl 5-{2-oxo-1-[(phenylcarbonyl)oxy]-2-(pyridin-2-yl)ethyl}-2-phenylpiperidine-1-carboxylate (29 mg, 0.058 mmol) was stirred in 4:1 DCM/TFA (5 ml) at room temperature for 3 h. Then the volatiles were removed under vacuum, and the resulting residue was purified by reverse phase HPLC (0.05% TFA-water-acetonitrile) to give the title compound. LC-MS m/e 401.19 [M+1]+.
