Reaction Steps

To a solution of ethyl 6-chloro-2-fluoro-3-((3-hydroxy-2,2-dimethylpropanamido)methyl)benzoate (Intermediate-59, step 1, 200 mg, 0.60 mmol) in THF (2 mL) was added diethylaminosulfur trifluoride (146 mg, 0.90 mmol) and the reaction mixture was stirred at rt for 12 h. Then the reaction mixture was quenched with water and was extracted with CHCl3. The organic layer was washed with brine, separated, dried, filtered and concentrated. The residue was purified by column chromatography to afford 0.104 g of the title product. 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO d6): δ 8.32 (t, 1H), 7.44-7.36 (m, 2H), 4.47-4.29 (m, 6H), 1.33-1.29 (t, J=6.9 Hz, 3H), 1.14 (s, 6H).
