Reaction Steps
A mixture of 4,5-dimethyl-thiazol-2-ylamine (1.0 g, 7.8 mmol) and 2-bromoethanol (0.68 mL, 9.4 mmol) were processed as described in Example 8A to provide 0.92 g (47%) of the title compound. 1H NMR (DMSO-d6, 300 MHz) δ ppm 2.19 (s, 6H), 3.61-3.68 (m, 2H), 4.03 (t, J=4.9 Hz, 2H), 5.14 (br s, 1H), 9.27 (s, 1H); MS (DCI/NH3) m/z 173 (M+H)+.
