HCl in dioxane (1 mL) was added to a solution of tert-butyl (trans)-2-(2-chloro-6-(3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)pyridin-3-yl)cyclopropylcarbamate (100 mg, 0.242 mmol) in dioxane (2 mL) at 0° C. and stirred for 3 h at RT. After completion, the solvent was evaporated, residue was triturated with Et20 and dried to afford trans-2-(2-chloro-6-(3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)pyridin-3-yl)cyclopropanamine hydrochloride (80 mg, 95%) as white solid.
