Procedure
A round-bottomed flask was charged with 2-Bromo-4,5-bis(4-chloro-2-methylphenyl)thiazole (196 mg, 0.47 mmol) and CuCN (84.2 mg, 0.94 mmol). After degassed, 3 mL of DMF was added. The reaction mixture was heated to 150° C. overnight. After cooled to room temperature, the reaction was quenched with 25 mL of water, and extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic phase was dried over anhydrous sodium sulphate and then concentrated. The residue was purified by flash chromatography to afford 150 mg of product.
