A mixture of 1-azido-4-nitrobenzene (0.5 g, 3.0 mmol), 4-((trimethylsilyl)ethynyl)morpholine (1.0 g, 9.0 mmol) and toluene (10 mL) was heated in a sealed tube to 60° C. for 24 h. The reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo to give 4-(1-(4-nitrophenyl)-4-(trimethylsilyl)-1H-1,2,3-triazol-5-yl)morpholine which was further reduced following procedure D to afford 4-(5-morpholino-4-(trimethylsilyl)-1H-1,2,3-triazol-1-yl)aniline.
