A solution of ethyl 2-(4-methyl-3-(3-methylbut-2-enyloxy)phenylamino)thiazole-4-carboxylate (52 mg, 0.15 mmol) in anhydrous THF (1 mL) was added to a suspension of LiAla4 (9 mg, 0.22 mmol) in dry THF (1 mL) at 0° C. under nitrogen atmosphere. After 1 h 30 min, additional LiAlH4 (9 mg, 0.22 mmol) was added. After 1 h, the reaction mixture was quenched with H2O, filtrated, dried over MgSO4 and concentrated. The crude product was purified by flash chromatography on silica gel (Hexane:EtOAc 1/1) to obtain the title compound (27 mg, 59% yield).
