Following the procedure described for Example 2A, the title compound was prepared using 500 mg (2.81 mmol) 6-fluoro-3-methyl-1H-indazole-5-carbaldehyde (Example 3A) and 504 mg (3.09 mmol) 3-(4-fluorophenyl)-3-oxopropanenitrile to yield 768 mg (69% of th.) of the crude product (81% purity) which was used in the next step without further purification.
