Prepared from 6-chloro-3,3-dimethyl-2,3-dihydro-pyrrolo[3,2-c]pyridine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester by a method analogous to that of Preparation 117 using methyl zinc chloride (2.0 M in THF, 9.75 mmol), to give the title compound (510 mg, 55%) as a colourless oil. MS: [M+H]+=263.
