A solution of tert-butyl 4-{1-[(3-ethyl-1,2,4-thiadiazol-5-yl)methyl]-2,4-dioxo-6-phenyl-1,4-dihydrothieno[3,2-d]pyrimidin-3(2H)-yl}piperidine-1-carboxylate (321 mg; compound B22) in DCM (10 ml) is reacted with trifluoroacetic acid (2 ml) according to the procedure described in example B43 to afford the title compound as a solid.
