Reaction Steps
To (S)-tert-butyl 3-hydroxypyrrolidine-1-carboxylate (676 mg, 3.61 mmol) in NMP (4 mL) at 0° C. was added Cs2CO3 (1176 mg, 3.61 mmol) followed by 6-chloropicolinonitrile (500 mg, 3.61 mmol). The mixture was heated at 140° C. for 15 minutes in a microwave reactor to give the title compound. The crude product was used directly in the next step.
