Reaction Steps

To a 1,4-dioxane solution (1.0 mL) of 6-methyl-4-(methylthio)-1-{[5-(trifluoromethyl)thiophen-2-yl]methyl}-1,3,5-triazin-2(1H)-one (321 mg, 1.00 mmol) synthesized in Reference Synthesis Example 292, 4-piperidinol (202 mg, 2.00 mmol) was added and the resultant mixture was stirred under reflux by heating for 10 hours. After completion of the reaction, the reaction solution was concentrated under reduced pressure and the obtained residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (ethyl acetate/methanol=1/0→10/1) to obtain the title compound (374 mg, yield 100%).
