A solution of 3A (2.3 g, 7.2 mmol) in dioxane (35 mL) was added with 20% NaOH aq. solution (20 mL) and the mixture was heated at 50° C. for 2 h. The organic solvent was removed under reduced pressure and the aqueous phase acidified with 10% HCl. The solid formed was collected by filtration, washed with water (2×20 mL) and dried to obtain 4A as white solid (1.05 g, 51% yield). 1HNMR (DMSO, 200 MHz) δ 2.92 (s, 3H), 5.57 (s, 1H), 6.09 (s, 1H), 7.50 (m, 2H), 7.85 (m, 2H), 13.01 (bs, 1H).
