Methyl 1-cyano-7-(3-fluorophenoxy)-4-hydroxyisoquinoline-3-carboxylate (18 mg, 0.05 mmol) and ethyl 3-amino-2,2-dimethylpropanoate (31 mg, 0.21 mmol) in EtOH (3 mL) were heated at 150° C. in a microwave for 1.5 hours. The solvent was removed in vacuo and the residue oil was purified by flash chromatography (0-50% EtOAc/hexanes) to give the title compound in 22 mg. MS: (−) m/z 450.30 (M−1).
