3-{[1-Cyano-7-(4-fluoro-benzoylamino)-4-hydroxy-isoquinoline-3-carbonyl]-amino}-2,2-dimethyl-propionic acid ethyl ester (60 mg, 0.125 mmol) was methanol (7 mL) and aqueous sodium hydroxide (7 mL, 2M) was added via syringe. The reaction was permitted to stir overnight at room temperature. Upon completion, the reaction was concentrated, diluted with water and acidified to pH 3 with 1M hydrochloric acid. The resulting precipitate was isolated by filtration and dried to provide the title compound as a white solid in 50% yield. MS ESI(−) m/e: 449.1046 (M−1), MS ESI(+) m/e: 451.0812 (M+1).
