A mixture of tert-butyl 7-(4,6-bis(benzyloxy)-5-(benzyloxycarbonyl)-3-ethylpyridin-2-yl)-3,4-dihydro-1H-pyrido[3,4-b]indole-2(9H)-carboxylate (20 mg, 0.027 mmol) in TFA (0.2 mL) and TIPSH (0.2 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 15 h. The solvents were removed and the residue was stirred in 10% MeOH in CH2Cl2 (0.5 mL). The resulting solid was collected by filtration and washed with CH2Cl2 to give the title compound as an off-white solid (10 mg, TFA salt, 78%).
