Reaction Steps
Trans-Stilbene (180 mg, 1 mmol) and the catalyst (10.3 mg, 0.2 mol % Pd) were mixed in THF (9 ml). The mixture was stirred for 2 h at 25° C. under a H2 ballon. 1,2-diphenylethane was formed with 100% conversion of trans-Stilbene. Product was determined by gas chromatography.
