Procedure

4-(N-(3-chlorophenyl)sulfamoyl)benzoic acid (11) (106 mg, 0.34 mmol) was treated with 4-(pyridin-2-yl)thiazol-2-amine (50 mg, 0.28 mmol) using method C. The residue was purified using flash chromatography eluting with 50-100% EtOAc in hexanes. The resulting solid was triturated with diethyl ether to give 4-(N-(3-chlorophenyl)sulfamoyl)-N-(4-(pyridin-2-yl)thiazol-2-yl)benzamide as a yellow solid. Yield: 49 mg (37%). 1H-NMR: 10.77 (s, 1H), 8.63-8.61 (m, 1H), 8.25 (d, J=8.5 Hz, 2H), 8.00 (d, J=8.0 Hz, 1H), 7.95-7.88 (m, 4H), 7.35 (ddd, J=7.5, 5.0, 1.0 Hz, 1H), 7.30 (t, J=8.0 Hz, 1H), 7.15 (t, J=2 Hz, 1H), 7.13-7.08 (m, 2H), 3.32 (s, 3H).
