Procedure
0.4 mmol of Ethyl 5-amino-3-(pyridin-4-yl)-1-(2,4,6-trichlorophenyl)-1H-pyrazole-4-carb-oxylate (8) was dissolved in 20 ml and 10 ml H2O. 4 eq. (1.6 mmol) of KOH was added to the solution. The reaction was finished after 4 h reflux. The organic solvent was evaporated and the aqueous layer was neutralized in ice bath by adding conc. HCl. A colorless precipitate was filtered and recrystallized from hot ethanol.
