Procedure

4-{[3-(2-Chloro-pyrimidin-4-yl)-benzyl]-ethyl-amino}-piperidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (intermediate 84) was coupled with 2-(1H-indol-5-yl)-ethylamine (intermediate 124) following procedure F then deprotected following procedure G. LC-MS showed the product had the expected M+H+ of 455. 1H NMR (Varian 300 MHz, CD3OD, shifts relative to the solvent peak at 3.31 ppm) δ 8.7 (m, 1H) 8.4 (m, 3H) 7.9 (m, 1H) 7.6 (m, 4H) 7.4 (m, 1H) 7.2 (m, 1H) 4.4 (m, 1H) 3.9 (m, 2H) 3.7 (m, 7H) 3.2 (m, 3H) 2.5 (m, 2H) 2.3 (m, 2H) 1.3 (m, 3H).
