Procedure
The product of Step C (0.116 g, 0.31 mmol) was used to alkylate 0.050 g (0.29 mmol) of 5,7-dimethyl-2-ethylimidazo[4,5-b]pyridine according to the procedure described for Step B of Example 2, which after purification afforded 0.094 g (69%) of the title compound.
