Procedure
Sodium hydroxide (89 mg) in water (0.2 ml) was added to a suspension of the product of Example 51 (0.5 g) in ethanol (5 ml). The solution was heated under reflux for 16 h, cooled, then evaporated in vacuo. The residue was dissolved in water (5 ml), and HCl (2N; 1 ml) was added dropwise resulting in the precipitation of the title compound which was filtered off, washed with water (2×5 ml) and dried to give the title compound as a colourless solid (391 mg). m.p. 148°-152° C.
