To a stirred solution of the title compound of example 14 (60 mg) in glacial acetic acid (5 ml) was added powdered zinc (1 g). Stirring was continued for 1 hour when the reaction was complete. The reaction mixture was then extracted with ethyl acetate, washed with saturated NaHCO3 solution followed by brine, dried (MgSO4) and concentrated in vacuo. Chromatography on silica eluting with ether/methanol (15:1 then 10:1) gave the title compound as an oil (30 mg).
