Procedure
2-Amino-1-(2-mercapto-2-methylpropylamino)benzene (0.40 g, 2.06×10-3 mol) and 0.452 g (3.09×10-3 mol, 150 M %) of 2-propylthio-2-methylpropanal were reacted by the method of Example 2 to give 0.239 g (40% yield) of 2-(2-mercapto-2-methylpropylamino)-1-[2-propylthio-2-methylpropylamino]benzene as a colorless oil after purification by radial chromatography on a 4 mm silica gel plate eluting with 200 ml 5% diethyl ether/petroleum ether and 100 ml 7% diethyl ether/petroleum ether.
