Reaction Steps

To a solution of tert-butyl 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolin-4-ylcarbamate (65 mg, 0.26 mmol) in DCM (1 mL) was added Na2CO3 (55.5 mg, 0.520 mmol), followed by ethyl carbonochloridate (0.028 mL, 0.29 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred at rt for 2 h. The reaction mixture was diluted with DCM, washed with 1N HCl, dried over Na2SO4, filtered, and concentrated in vacuo to give Intermediate 38A (72 mg, 0.23 mmol, 86% yield). LCMS=1.97 min [M+Na]=342.9 (Method B).
