Reaction Steps

To a solution of 7-chloro-9-phenylfuro[3,4-b]quinoline-1,3-dione (100 mg, 0.32 mmol, 1 eq) in THF (2 ml) was added methyl amine (2M in THF, 807 μl, 1.61 mmol, 5 eq) and the reaction mixture was stirred overnight. The resultant precipitate was filtered and washed with ether. The solid was purified by flash column chromatography (10% AcOH in ethyl acetate) to give the title compound as a white solid. MS (ESI): 338.9 (M−H)−.
