Reaction Steps
To a solution of 1-(2,3-dimethyl-2H-indazol-5-yl)-4-(hydroxymethyl)pyridin-2(1H)-one (100 mg) in dichloromethane (5 ml) was added triethylamine (0.153 ml) at 0° C., and the mixture was stirred at the same temperature for 30 min. To the obtained reaction mixture was added methanesulfonyl chloride (0.057 ml) at 0° C., and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 4 hr. The reaction mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure, water was added, and the mixture was extracted with dichloromethane. The organic layer was washed with saturated brine, dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, and concentrated under reduced pressure. The obtained residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (hexane/ethyl acetate) to give the title compound (120 mg).
