To a solution of crude 6-Bromo-3-methyl-4-pyridin-2-yl-3,4-dihydro-1H-quinazolin-2-one (600 mg, 0.002 mol) in DME/H2O (12 mL/4 mL) is added 3,5-dimethylisoxazole-4-boronic acid (265 mg, 0.002 mol), Pd(PPh3)4 (77 mg, 0.08 mmol) and Na2CO3 (332 mg, 3.14 mmol). After addition, the mixture is refluxed for 3 h. The mixture is concentrated in vacuum and the residue is purified by preparative HPLC to give the desired product as a yellow solid.
