Reaction Steps
100 mg (0.275 mmol) of 2-methyl-3-(methylsulfonyl)-N-(1-methyl-1H-tetrazol-5-yl)-4-(trifluoromethyl)benzamide and 43 mg (0.275 mmol) of iodoethane are dissolved in 5 ml of N,N-dimethylformamide, and 0.038 mg (0.275 mmol) of potassium carbonate is added. The reaction mixture is stirred at 80° C. for 16 h and taken up in 5 ml of water and extracted twice with 10 ml each time of dichloromethane. The organic phase is dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated. The residue is purified by means of preparative HPLC (acetonitrile, water). Yield 30 mg (26%).
