mCPBA (774 mg, 4.49 mmol) was added to a solution of (3R)-3-methyl-6-(prop-1-en-2-yl)-3,4-dihydro-1H-isochromen-1-one (605 mg, 2.99 mmol) in DCE (15 mL). The reaction was stirred at room temp for 3 h before it was complete by TLC. The reaction was then partitioned between saturated sodium bicarbonate solution and DCM. The aq. layer was further extracted with DCM (2×75 mL) the combined organic layers were dried over magnesium sulfate, filtered, and purified via MPLC (10-50% EtOAc/Hex) to give the title compound: LC-MS: (M+H)+219;
