9aS)-tert-Butyl 3-(2-methyl-3-nitrophenyl)hexahydropyrazino[2,1-c][1,4]oxazine-8(1H)-carboxylate (1.45 g, 3.84 mmol) was dissolved in EtOAc (30 ml) then added 10% Pd/C (0.409 g) and stirred under a balloon of hydrogen overnight. The catalyst was filtered off and solvent evaporated to yield the title compound. LC-MS (IE, m/z): 348 [M+1]+
