tert-Butyl (3S,9aS)-3-(3-cyano-4-fluoro-2-methylphenyl)hexahydropyrazino[2,1-c][1,4]oxazine-8(1H)-carboxylate (1.88 g, 5.01 mmol) was treated with 10 mL TFA at RT for 1 h. The TFA was then removed under reduced pressure to yield the title compound. LC-MS: M+1=276: 1H-NMR (600 MHz, DMSO) δ ppm 7.954 (dd, J=8.7, 6.25 Hz, 1H), 7.412 (t, J=8.85 Hz, 1H), 4.939 (dd, J=8.4, 2.75 Hz, 1H), 3.848 (d, J=11.8 Hz, 1H), 3.762 (b, 1H), 3.189-3.536 (m, 8H), 3.072 (d, J=12 Hz, 1H), 2.485 (s, 3H).
