Reaction Steps

To a solution of 1-methyl-6-(3-(oxiran-2-ylmethoxy)phenyl)-1H-benzo[d]imidazole (500 mg, 1.78 mmol) in MeOH (5 mL) was added isoindoline (213 mg, 1.78 mmol) at 25° C., and the mixture was heated to reflux and stirred for 16 h. The reaction mixture was cooled, concentrated and purified by preparative HPLC purification. (80 mg, yield 11%) MS (ESI+) e/z: 400.2 [M+1]+. 1H NMR (MeOD, 400 MHz), δ ppm: 8.22 (s, 1H), 7.87 (s, 1H), 7.71 (d, J=8.4 Hz, 1H), 7.53 (d, J=8.4 Hz, 1H), 7.41-7.19 (m, 7H), 6.97-6.95 (m, 1H), 4.16-4.04 (m, 7H), 3.89 (s, 3H), 3.04-2.87 (m, 2H).
