To a solution of tert-butyl cyclopentyl(3-(oxiran-2-ylmethoxy)benzyl)carbamate (300 mg, 0.86 mmol) in EtOH (5 mL) was added isoindoline (113 mg, 0.95 mmol). The reaction mixture was heated under microwave conditions at 110° C. for 0.8 h. The mixture was concentrated and the crude product was used in the next step without further purification. (220 mg, yield 55%) MS (ESI+) e/z: 467.3 [M+1]+.
